An Autumn wedding in the Marbella sun
When you see the photos of Charlotte and Ashley’s wedding you think it’s a professional shoot. You see, these two are so good-looking and photogenic that you’d think they’re models, part of a fashion shoot in some exotic location. The exotic location, in fact, was the lovely Puente Romano Hotel on Marbella’s Golden Mile, and the occasion was not a photo shoot but the real-life wedding of two lovely people from London. A country wedding in Southern Spain
It was like one of those romantic movies where friends and family come together in the countryside in Provence or Tuscany, only in this case the setting was Casares in our own stunning Andalusian countryside. The mountains, greenery and white village close by provided a backdrop that was certainly worthy of a movie, and I think the beautiful Sonia, her proud groom John and their (large) following were definitely impressed. Hindu wedding in Estepona – an explosion of the senses
Wow, what an experience. As you know I’ve done a lot of weddings in my time, but this Hindu ceremony was really something special. Some might call it exotic and different, but you have to be there to fully appreciate the dazzling effect on the senses – rich, vibrant colours and textures, fragrant smells in the air and people in beautiful outfits. It’s quite a scene and this one converted the amphitheatre at Hotel Villa Padierna, Estepona, into something from a fairytale.
I have lived in India and love the culture and the religion, so I totally love being a part of Hindu weddings. As a person and a photographer there is just something special about it, and I’d love to do lots more. Rajvi and Bhavesh looked wonderful and as the bride is also a professional wedding planner in the UK the whole day just flowed from one highlight to another. The greatest moment, however, was the marriage itself, and if the ceremony was anything to go by the omens are good. Read more
South Spain Wedding bliss
By down under I mean Southern Spain, though groom David was actually born in the real Down Under. He and his lovely, smiling bride Lucy got the sun, the setting and the wonderful day they deserved. They were married at the picturesque La Cala Church, then allowed me to make some romantic images of them on the beach before joining their guests at Hacienda San José.
