Romance in Andalucía – the perfect wedding setting Getting married in a romantic setting in the Andalusian countryside makes it a memory that will stay with you forever. This happy couple from the UK had it all come together beautifully on their wedding day. Friends and family surrounded them and the sun was shining as […]
A dream wedding in Spain That’s just what Linda and Des from Dublin had, shared with their happy entourage of family and friends. It was a May wedding at Hacienda San José, a beautiful fincain the gorgeous Andalusian countryside. A blue sky, the sound of crickets in the background, the sweet smell of flowering mimosa […]
Partyboothz – Fun wedding ideas! Now we all know that marriage is a serious business, a commitment built on love and togetherness, but a wedding day is an expression of joy and happiness that infects even the most unromantic of people. So it’s hardly strange that those who come to share in your happiness want […]
Costa del Sol Wedding style Julie and Chris didn’t just want to get married in Spain, they didn’t just want to have their reception on the beach – they actually had their wedding ceremony on the beach. That’s what Katie and Ryan Williams did, coming down to the little town of Guadiaro on the edge of Sotogrande to wed in the sun. It was September, and perfect weather in this corner of Southern Spain, so the large group of family and friends were all in a great mood. It didn’t hurt that the wedding was held at the wonderful Cortijo Los Canos, a stylish Andalusian country house complete with shady courtyards and a first-class restaurant.

I have photographed at many weddings across southern Spain, but one of my favourite venues remains Tikitano. It’s situated roughly halfway between Estepona and San Pedro Alcantara, a little west of Marbella and Puerto Banús, right on a bend of the coast that allows you to glance all along the coastline to Gibraltar.
Needless to say this is one of the most photogenic spots out of many in the area, and combined with the rich light that this area is blessed with it can make for some stunning photography. But Tikitano is about more than photography alone – it’s so popular with wedding parties because it offers such a rich mix of ingredients: a charming Polynesian style restaurant and bar/lounge surrounded by tropical gardens and a terrace right on a quiet stretch of beach.
Tikitano, getting married by the sea This is the wedding of Lisa and Carl…childhood sweethearts from Wales who came to Marbella to be married in the sun. Lisa is such a kind, thoughtful lady and there was no wedding planner – she did it all herself. She certainly has organisational skills, because all went beautifully […]
Professional Photography Marbella Just couldn’t resist the temptation to put this little boy’s photo up on my blog. All dressed up for a wedding but he has such beautiful eyes!
