The cynics among you might say romance is gone but I know it’s alive and well. I see it at every wedding I am privileged to be a part of: romance, love and the special bond between two people and their circles of family and friends. These are the things that make the world go round, and it does me good to be a part of so many beautiful days.
Add the sunny weather and the beautiful settings to choose from and you can see why people travel from across Europe to get married in Southern Spain. Natalia and Andreas came with their loved ones from Norway to enjoy their special moment in the sun. To be fair, it was a hot summer’s day, but it all came off so beautifully that I think we all rocked. A true fairy tale wedding!
Wedding planner Joan Caribe-Parker of spanishweddingplanner.com did a wonderful job. The people she had coordinated were, including myself, Lorraine of Princess Bride make-up and hair, florists San Miguel, who had the venue at the Hotel Castillo de Santa Catalina in Málaga looking amazing, and Padre Peter who conducted the ceremony.
Above all, of course, the stars were Natalia and Andreas, and the people that came to Spain to share in their happiness. I fell in love with them all, and I hope it’s reflected in the images. I do always try to show the emotion, not just the event! Norwegians can party as good as anyone, and the band Monkey Tennis helped them on the way, along with wonderful catering on a hot but magical night.
From the bride: “Thank you so much for all your work on our wedding day, 23.06.15.
Seeing how professional but still relaxed and cool you are, made me enjoy the entire day and even calmed my stupid wedding nerves;)
Please give your assistant ( if I remember correctly, her name was Isabella?) a Big thank you and warm hug from me. She was so incredibly sweet and a very relaxing person to have around taking photographs too.
I didn’t get to give you my thanks and a big, warm, loving hug, but know that having you here on our special day – was one of the biggest gifts we could wish for. The reason why I am saying this is because before we decided for a venue in Malaga, I was already Google’ing for wedding photos and places and ideas…and suddenly one of your pictures came up. I saw your portfolio and was so determined that you would be The photographer for us. Relaxed and natural pictures, a lot of colour but also magical moments you’ve captured with your camera.
So having you here with us yesterday was bigger than I can describe!
Our wedding guests commented during the entire evening how fun, cool and professional David Toms is, so we know they really enjoyed being taken pictures of too ;)!!!
Muchas gracias por todo, Tusen takk for alt, Thank you very much, dear David.”
