Getting married on the Costa Del Sol
It’s not just that Don’s a reggae star, but this couple just give off that warm, loving feeling. Having recovered from serious illness last year his lovely bride Rebecca is quite a lady, and they are two people who really know what’s important in life: love. Together with friends and family they filled the wedding venue at THB Reserva del Higueron with laughter and joy.
As a solo artist and former member of Undivided Roots, which features on the UK charts during the 1980s, Don not only performed for his new wife but wrote the music too. ‘I Wish I Could’ is featured on his 2008 album Reggae Max, and will serve as a lasting reminder of a beautiful day spent with their loved ones in the Spanish sun.
The people involved in helping to make it so are Padre Peter, Maxine4flowers, make-up artist Liza Mayne and of course the wonderful hotel and its welcoming staff. I got the distinct impression those gathered on the day enjoyed themselves immensely, and it was a fun and really memorable day.
As for me, I was so inspired by these lovely people that I produced some of my more artistically creative work. I enjoyed myself hugely and kept feeding off the great vibe, so while Rebecca and Don sent me the kind words below I would also like to thank them for a great day spent in their company.
“From our point of view David was a God send from the consultation I had with him over the phone! Just after talking with him I felt everything was going to be fine! He made me feel so reassured, his warmth, his helpfulness. Finding me such a great makeup artist Liza who did my face just as I would have wanted it without even having to tell her what I wanted really nor having a consultation.
As for David I just let him get on with it from the word go! I couldn’t wait for him to arrive, I had no requests, no worries and from our talks I knew I could leave it all in his hands! From start to finish I didn’t need to ask him to do anything or check if he had taken shots.
David made the guests feel so at ease, he was lively and made them smile and caught some very natural shots! He put himself in every position to get a shot and thought of everything and so creative too!
It was our pleasure to have him and it was our honour that he were free for our date as there was never a question on my mind who I wanted as our photographer.
I’m so happy and thrilled and cannot wait to see more happy couples through the amazing professional creative camera lens of the pro that is David Toms! My husband’s only regret is that we didn’t get a few album cover shots for him for his new up coming album!!”
