TestimonialsFunny old thing, getting married! My idea was a nice registry office wedding in Richmond, London, our home, very low key, photos done by my "new step son". Hubbie's idea was a big splashy thing in Spain (our other home). So reluctantly I agreed to both, but I said, "I'm going to organise some decent photos for this one..." you can imagine, headless guests at the registry office and so on. So I said to David, "you'd better not be in my face, make too much fuss, but you must make me look fabulous". "Cool babe" says David, "you'll love it". And good grief he was right, an amazing day, a really nice "vibe" David's words not mine. David was brilliant. He engineered us all effortlessly, got great shots of family and friends without anyone really feeling they had been posing at all. The ones taken of me at home getting ready were surprisingly stress free, in fact it was nice having David around to have a laugh with. Great wide shots of the party and the meal and unobtrusive but amazingly beautiful close up shots of everyone. People are still telling me how great I looked (the ones who saw the photos only of course) and I absolutely love our photo album, even if others are a bit bored of it. Thank you David you helped make the "big splashy day" a really wonderful and memorable experience. We were married in Nerja and being quite a low key couple we saw the photography side of the wedding as one of the “chores” – like the speeches, getting the special dinner for Ganny cause she has no teeth, and warning the my husbands best friends to behave and go easy on the Spanish beer!!!!!! How wrong was I !!!!!! Getting the “bride and Groom” photos taken was an absolute laugh from start to end – what a lovely guy, at one stage we were running through the square with poor David running backwards to get a fun shot and I saw another Irish couple trailing behind a Spanish photographer like school children and the photographer barking orders in broken english !!! That was the difference David made it fun , our friends and family loved him, apart from a few planned shots at times I didn’t even realise he was there. But boy was he there. David captured moments Noel and myself never even saw – , I even had a little cry when I saw the photos first!!!! Aside from making me look ten years younger , catching my husband with a little tear in his eye ( boys never cry!!), and persuading my very serious father to jump and throw his arms in the air for a beech shot ……… I cannot recommend him highly enough . A very talented photographer and a great peoples person. Thank you David! Ciara and Noel We booked David for our sons Wedding in Marbella. He was a pleasure to deal with from Day 1, very laid back, no pressure etc. On the actual day he was a star, he was with us from about 10am in our home and he was never in the way, took photos without us even noticing and very unobtrusive. At the actual function he captured all those little moments that you are not even aware of, and his reportage of the day is incredible. We were more than delighted with him and the end product, the most amazing photo album and coffee table books are stunning. Silje As a professional musician I have played at dozens of weddings, and have obviously met dozens of photographers. As my job is over as soon as we stop playing, I have seldom seen the pictures taken. However I have noticed how many Photographers try to take over the event, "Brides family here" "Grooms family out to the beach", "Just another few minutes". In the mean time the caterers and musicians are pulling their hair out as they want to get on with their jobs, and the guests are becoming more and more bored. On several such occasions I met a photographer, who never stopped taking pictures, but never interferred, so when my daughter decided to get married, I contacted him and asked to see his work. I met up with David Toms, and was totally sold by his enthusiasm and professionalism. My daughter and new husband flew over from Dubai, and were also bowled over by "everything about David Toms" The wedding took place in Gibraltar, at the Garrison Library (I thoroughly recommend this as the best place to wed in Gibraltar), and the reception was at the Kempinski Hotel. David was always with us. The photos he took were amazing. I thoroughly recommend him.
