I have photographed at many weddings across southern Spain, but one of my favourite venues remains Tikitano. It’s situated roughly halfway between Estepona and San Pedro Alcantara, a little west of Marbella and Puerto Banús, right on a bend of the coast that allows you to glance all along the coastline to Gibraltar.
Needless to say this is one of the most photogenic spots out of many in the area, and combined with the rich light that this area is blessed with it can make for some stunning photography. But Tikitano is about more than photography alone – it’s so popular with wedding parties because it offers such a rich mix of ingredients: a charming Polynesian style restaurant and bar/lounge surrounded by tropical gardens and a terrace right on a quiet stretch of beach.
The décor is stylish, the cuisine has earned a notable reputation and the professional team led by Scarlett Smits does a fantastic job to make sure every bride’s wishes come true – from stunning indoor and outdoor decorations to live entertainment and a flawless management of the perfect wedding by the beach.

Hi David – great shots! Haven’t been on the same wedding-gig
as you for a while…recently sent my info plus a video-clip to Tikitano featuring me on solo Spanish guitar…I took the liberty of telling them that we had worked together sometimes, and that if they wanted a reference, they could ask you.Hope that’s cool…
Looking fwd to meeting up sometime…Cheers,Dave C-Clark
