The prefect setting for a Marbella wedding
Nicola and James from the UK sure know how to pick a romantic setting. They chose a spot even many long-time residents of the Costa del Sol might not have been to, on the country road from Marbella to the pretty little white mountain village of Istán. From here you look out over the lake and the surrounding countryside of hills covered in trees, with the big mountains of the interior rising up behind them.
It’s a beautiful spot and it proved to be a great location for this intimate wedding on a beautiful summer day. Around 50 people had come over from the UK to share the moment, and they were treated to a very special occasion in a suitably memorable setting.
It started with the ceremony conducted so beautifully by Lizzy Marriage. She’s sensitive, strong, very funny and sweet, a really nice lady who always brings out the human touch in the occasion. Heather of Fiesta Sol pulled off another flawless event, complete with fantastic catering, she really is a great pro to work with. The cake was a wonderful sweet thing by Fi of Sweet Things and the decorative styling of the venue was done by Reviva Weddings, though Nicola did her own and her mum’s make-up as she’s professional at it.
Patrick Herman provided a very ambient Spanish touch with classical guitar before people let their hair down and danced the night away on the terrace. Like I said, a day to remember!
“We knew the moment we met David he was the photographer for us! He has such a relaxed, calm and unobtrusive approach to his work. A truly lovely guy and an extremely talented photographer. So many of our guests commented on how great he was on the day. His photographic style and creative flair are extraordinary. He also kept me calm and made me feel like a supermodel for the day, which is always nice! We are so happy he was a big part of our wedding day and we highly recommend him.”
