Another gorgeous Benahavis wedding
If you’ve ever wondered why so many couples are choosing to get married in Spain I hope these images provide the answer. Take Andrew and Marte, who chose neither England nor Norway, their respective countries of origin, but settled on Southern Spain instead.
OK, Andrew, or AJ as he is better known, has grown up in Marbella, but I don’t think he had a hard time persuading his lovely new bride to get married under the Spanish sun. On the day a large crowd of some 120 friends and family members from the UK, Norway and also Spain gathered outside the charming little Seamen’s church in El Campanario, near Calahonda. Also officially the Norwegian church in these parts, it formed a very moving and visually beautiful first act in what was to become a wonderful day.
Marte was beautiful in her dress and she looked like something out of a fashion page as the couple strolled through atmospheric cobbled streets. AJ was all smiles, and when the entire party converged on Benahavis for the reception at the Gran Hotel Benahavis the entertainment started. Silvia and Luis of Marbella Parties organised it all, including fire dancers and a live DJ, which enabled people to alternate between traditional Norwegian dancing and contemporary music.
A quote from the groom:
If you are looking for a wedding photographer on the Costa del Sol, look no further than David! From the first meeting with him some months before the wedding we knew the photography would be special, and when we saw them they exceeded all our expectations! Stylish, unique, professional, funny are just some of the words to describe our amazing wedding pictures. David does a great job of being invisible when he needs to be, and getting people together and smiling/laughing when that is needed! Most of the best pictures are “capturing the moment” shots that you just can’t get without a photographer. He uses the surroundings wonderfully to create pictures that could come right out of a style magazine! Could go on for ages about how great this service is! To sum up, very, very impressed and we have amazing photos that we will treasure for life! Thanks David! Best regards, AJ Redfern
